Job Description


Job Responsibility
  • Support the development of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies and programs such as identifying, proposing, initiating and organizing HSE related trainings for the group.
  • Advise on various health, safety and environment-related topics/issues such as noise levels, use of machinery and etc.
  • Advise HOD and Management on existing policies and assist in the drafting of new policies.
  • Coordinate and ensure the Health and Safety Committee is conducted accordingly.
  • Propose, create HIRARC/JSA for all HSE related work activities within the Group of companies.
  • Record, investigate and follow up on HSE related incidents, accidents to determine causes and handle worker's concerns and complaints, and propose appropriate actions to the management.
  • Conduct daily workplace inspections and identify both conformance and non-conformity (e.g., not using protective equipment, unsafe acts, dangerous or unhealthy works processes etc.) and take appropriate actions.
  • Performs prescribed industrial hygiene surveys using technical equipment, evaluate results and take appropriate action to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee installations, maintenance, matters related to industrial waste, scheduled waste and air pollution control, noise control and etc.
  • Liaise with relevant government bodies such as (but not limited to) DOSH/DOE/MOH/BOMBA including application and renewal of related licences.
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
  • Responsible for factory facilities maintenance and upkeep issues and coordination for rectification.
  • Responsible for factory Security concerns.
  • Prepare various reports, documents and forms related to HSE, Admin and Security
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
  • Min. Diploma in Engineering or Safety & Health or equivalent
  • 2 years of working experience in Health, Safety & Environment and Facilities Admin Maintenance field
  • Well-versed with the latest Occupational Health and Safety Act, Factories & Machineries Act, Environmental Quality Act and other Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Should have the ability to follow up and update the HOD on a regular interval.
  • Team player and able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Excellent communication skills.
