Job Responsibility

IHS Markit is looking for a Client Services Senior Associate to join our team of professionals who are entrepreneurial, collaborative, and passionate about providing best in class support to the LP clients in the Private Capital Markets industry. You'll have an opportunity to lead engagements and interact and support industry leading LP clients by providing analytical and strategic oversight of their private investments data and iLEVEL software solution, providing them key information and guidance that allows them to make well-informed decisions. Responsibilities

  • Lead and balance multiple LP client engagements simultaneously and efficiently, maintaining accountability to all stakeholders
  • Display thorough understanding of private equity fund structure and financial reporting, including but not limited to: investment hierarchy, recording the cash flows, reporting the financial and static metrics of underlying portfolio companies
  • Manage the delivery of private investment data and set expectations with clients with respect to delivery timelines and quality of data
  • Address financial reporting data and iLEVEL software solution client inquires, troubleshoot issues and identify & execute solutions
  • Collaborate with sales, onboarding, account managers and data processing team as needed to resolve client request and needs
  • Help establish, support and drive team goals and initiatives
  • Identify and make recommendations for processes improvements and best practices
  • Help train, support and manage junior level staff
  • Apply your knowledge of the private equity funds operations, iLEVEL product and client feedback to recommend service and system enhancements
  • Assist on or lead ad hoc projects and initiatives

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related Business field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience including familiarity with private equity fund structure and proven experience in client services role
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new systems easily
  • Alternative investment/private equity/real estate/credit investor knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong customer service orientation
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, results driven, takes initiative
  • Superior analytical & independent problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of financial reporting and operating statements and their analysis
  • Collaborative attitude, excelling in working cross-functionally with diverse personalities
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Possess the highest ethical standards and a strong work ethic, willing to go the extra mile with a hands-on attitude
  • Established ability to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Someone who deals with challenging concepts and complexity comfortably and with no fear
