Job Description:
-The Wellsite Geologist is required to monitor vital operations during the course of the well, make sure that all client requirements are carried out, and perform formation evaluation activities to ensure the well is drilled and evaluated in the most safe, efficient manner, and cost-effective.
-Familiarization with, and adherence to Client policy and procedures and Code of Conduct.
o-Attend pre-spud meeting(s) in Client's office, review technical package and scope-ofwork/
requirements (SOW/R) objectives and drilling program
- Collect, review and evaluate all required well site reference data, technical package,
correlation/offset logs, maps, prognoses and operational responsibilities
- Familiarization with relevant software packages used for reporting, log drawing and
communication.
-Liaise with key personnel (Operations Geologist, Company Man, Mudloggers, Mud
Engineers, FEMWD / geosteering personnel, OIM, Toolpusher, Drillers, Radio Operators,
etc.).
- Monitors operations.
- Responsible for correct lithological descriptions and geological analysis, evaluation and
interpretation while drilling, using cuttings, gas, formation evaluation measurement while
drilling (FEMWD) and wireline data.
- Compares and correlates data gathered during drilling with predictions made at the
exploration stage.
-Responsible in ensuring that geological data and samples are dispatched from the rig
- Responsible in ensuring that geological computer hardware and consumables are
secured.
- Responsible for the completion of the Final Well Report.
-Responsible for ensuring that daily reports (Geology, Pressures, Deviation etc.) are
submitted to the Client Representatives, at the precise time specified by the Client.
- Responsible for ensuring that Mud Logging and M/LWD contractors are providing daily
reports on time and are of good quality.

o Exposure to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance logging, dual packer MDT or equivalent logging operations.
