Currently, we're seeking a warehouse manager to join our team and manage operations within our fulfilment centre in Ipoh. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of millions of product orders every year.
Responsibilities
1) Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
2) Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, maintenance, inventory management, and shipping.
3) Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
4) Developing and implementing key strategies and action plans in Supply Chain Management to achieve company objectives and goals.
5) Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities.
6) Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
7) Setting up and reviewing policies, procedures and processes to improve operations efficiency and exceeding customer's expectations.
8) Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
9) Establish and ensure staff compliance with quality management system and work procedures.
10) Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfilment centre, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
11) Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
12) Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
13) Lead the performance management of warehouse leads and staff while complying with the evaluation/appraisal methods and systems.
14) Take lead and manage improvement projects as assigned by the Director.
Skills and Qualifications
1) Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
2) Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
3) Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
4) Strong knowledge of Warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
5) Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
6) Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
7) Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
8) Excellent communication skills
9) Candidates fluent in Bahasa Cina preferred as the role requires the candidate to deal with counterparts conversing in Bahasa Cina.
10) Willing to work in long hours included weekends and public holidays (if needed)
11) Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
