JOB SUMMARY
To ensure the health and welfare of the animals are maintained at optimum conditions and to get the best flock performances with the best quality eggs and chicken. Develop and implement preventative programs to minimize the chances of infectious diseases and other environmental problems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for Planning and Executing to maximize flock healthy status and bio-security program.
o To prepare and execute the vaccination and medicine program
o To ensure bio-security in place
o Maintenance of the flock health, medicine, supplement, and disinfectant record
2. To monitor performance data, review, and make the necessary adjustments.
3. To ensure the best maintenance of a veterinary facility or tools.
4. To conduct a routine post-mortem, titer monitoring, and implementation of the preventative control sampling program.
5. Responsible for the productivity, quality of the livestock, and hygiene of the farm.
6. To liaise; establish good communication and report with relevant authorities on farm status and accreditation program. And, advise on the bio-security measures and notification of animal disease protocol.
7. To handle and organize the farm inspection audit, certificate, or license renewal and prepare necessary documents and records.
8. Communicate with other staff or subordinates in exchange for information on animal behavior, medication administration, proper husbandry, and exhibit enrichment.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Candidate must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree, from a recognized University. Must register and be recognized by Malaysia Veterinary Council.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field, preferably with the Department of Veterinary or commercial broiler/breeder/layer farm.
3. Strong supervising & managerial skill is an added advantage.
4. Good communication and people skills.
