Job ResponsibilityResponsibilities:
o Owns Facilities Mechanical systems such as Chiller, Compressor, HVAC system, exhaust etc system. He/she is responsible to develop system criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment to meet unique operating requirements such as building and safety codes.
o Planning, designing, sustaining and improving Facilities Mechanical systems in assuring reliability and sustaining engineering for the systems owned.
o Provides second level trouble-shooting of the system in fault condition with proper problem solving techniques, and restore all system back to its desired operating condition.
o Develop best practices and implement routine checks on Infrastructure e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Fire life Safety Systems.
o Schedule and perform preventive maintenance activities on all facility equipment.
o Ensures that all contractors and vendors on site are aware of and adhere to all Company Safety Procedures and that they signify by signing the proper documentation.
o Identifies and recommends opportunities on energy conservative programs from time to time.
o Evaluates and recommends the upgrading in facility equipment's including but not limited to Housekeeping, building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and etc.
o Plans, directs and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the plant.
o Liaise with local authority i.e. BOMBA, DOSH, DOE to ensure all standard regulation is compiled.
o Provides leadership in achieving safety goals. Ensures on-going safety awareness for facilities department and ensures that various environmental and safety regulatory requirements are adhered.
o Responsible to develop/maintain facility engineering drawings, Operation Manual and SOP
o Any other ad-hoc assignment according to business needs.
Requirements:
o Experience: Minimum 3 years work experience in Facilities areas. Strong background in Mechanical Engineering, especially in heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC), M&E infrastructure and facilities management.
o Excellent knowledge in HVAC fluid and thermo dynamics, operation and maintenance/ Facilities services.
o Candidate must familiarize in Facilities line including equipment handling, operating sequence, troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance.
o Candidate must able to work in a team environment as well as collaborate with other engineers to solve breakdown issues and recommend technical solution.
o Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ EHS/ Science/ Equivalent.
o Possess good leadership, supervisory skills and multi task ability.
o Good interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
o Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, Screw and Turbo Air compressor, dryer system, Ventilation, process cooling system.
o Knowledge in Fire Life Safety system and Preventive Maintenance.
o Knowledge in House Keeping Services, building Maintenance and landscaping activities.
o Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (MS. Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Projects)
o Familiar with M&E code of practice and knowledge in equipment safety procedures.
o Knowledge in ISO9000, ISO14000 and EHS.
