Job description
We're looking for a Technical Writer to author, edit, and review system/application documentation. In this role, you'll work with internal resources, communicate with software
developers, and attend project meetings to gather, write, and publish technical information
for our customers. You'll produce a variety of top quality learning materials such as technical documentation, infographics, screenshot markups, and training videos.

You have strong writing skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from an SME and create training materials that clearly explain the topic/task to end users based on their persona. What you'll do:
o Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
o Maintain our internal documentation ticketing system, solving issues presented by
customers.
o Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
o Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product help documentation.
o Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency.
o Identify problem areas or structural deficiencies and proactively contribute to their improvement.
o Regular use of a content management system (CMS) to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation including draft, review, and publish phases.
o Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
o Prepare end user training materials and conduct software/application training session
What we're looking for:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, Communication, or Journalism
o Firm understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
o Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics and learn new concepts and tools
o Excellent writing and proofreading skills
o Ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences using either formal or more casual tones
o Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task
o Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes
o Experience working with system developers to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
o Experience creating infographics to more clearly communicate workflow processes and abstract topics
Bonus skills - these are not required, but are a plus:
o Experience working in software house company
o 3+ years experience working as a Technical Writer and Trainer or in related job role
o Experience working with Agile/Scrum software development teams
o Experience writing content for software applications using a CMS
o Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) both in-person and remote
o Experience in prioritizing and understanding the lifecycle of documentation from pre-release through on-going maintenance
o Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc
