Job ResponsibilityAll KH8 Primary teachers report to the Head of Primary, and are expected to teach a full timetable. KH8 Primary follows the UK National Curriculum at KS1 and KS2.
All teachers at KH8 will have appropriate professional qualifications, and a clear understanding of professional expectations.
These include, but are not limited to:
o being a dedicated teacher, supporting all children with their learning
o demonstrating excellent subject knowledge
o having a close understanding of the UK National Curriculum
o keeping abreast of developments in their subject and its teaching
o understanding the applications of ICT in delivering their subject
o being prepared to work with pupils from many nationalities
o having a positive approach to working within school structures
o meeting deadlines set by senior colleagues
o sharing good practice
o setting consistently high expectations for pupils
o ensuring lessons are thoroughly planned and prepared
o demonstrating an ability to assess and evaluate effectively
o understanding and applying relevant school policies
o becoming fully involved in the life of the school ?
o taking part in the School's staff development programme?
o contributing to any Departmental co-curricular activities
o keeping up to date with child protection issues
o undertaking any reasonable task as directed by the Head of Primary
o attending INSET training courses and taking responsibility for CPD
o contributing to the marketing and promotion of the school
Requirements:
1) MUST have a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Primary) or a related discipline
2) MUST have a teaching qualification such as a certificate or post-graduate diploma in education or teaching
3) At least 2 years teaching experience, preferably with experience in British Curriculum
4) Computer literacy and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5) Passion for teaching and ability to add value to our team
