Job ResponsibilityThe storyboard artist is responsible for Creating Storyboards for 2D & 3D Animation based on a given script. The storyboard artist is also required to work closely with the production team and directors to ensure the animation that they create is exceptional and in line with the director's vision.
*Job Responsibilities*
- To draw, create and conceptualize storyboards based on the vision from our team
- To create storyboard thumbnail/rough storyboard panels through delivery of finished storyboard sequences
- Collaborate with production team & directors on existing and future projects to review goals and vision for the storyboards and discuss concerns related to timelines and complexity, given the parameters of the schedule, responsible for completing all deliverables on time and according to production schedule and within guidelines/show parameters such as number of scenes, complexity requirements, etc.
- Possess both technical and artistic expertise to push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to numerous quality and brand guidelines.
- To communicate clearly and in a timely manner with all members of the team.
- To pitch storyboards to Director, crew and Executives
- To give properly and accurately gauge timelines required for completion of work.
- To ensure that the vision and style of the show is consistently adhered to through execution of action, staging, dialogue and camera
- To ensure that storyboard includes all final dialogue, backgrounds, direction, camera moves and action by making drawing or text changes in description, dialogue or numbering
- To submit work that appropriately aligns with production and workflow guidelines requirements (i.e., naming conventions and storage)
*Skills & Abilities*
- An online portfolio showcasing numerous examples of current up-to-date work.
- Demonstrated storyboard and/or art experience.
- Ability to align with style and sensibility of show
- Strong in comedy, action, emotional storytelling, and character interaction
- Strong staging, composition and cinematography skills
- Ability to draw characters and environments on model within show style
- Ability to write clear and specific direction on storyboards
- Solid and consistent time-management skills
- Familiar to software Storyboard Pro, 3D Blender & Drawing Program
- Able to reschedule work effectively and meet multiple deadlines
- A team player with good communication skill
