Job ResponsibilityWe are looking for a self-motivated biomedical research software / Systems engineer with an interest in medical imaging, app development and healthcare database management system. The engineer is expected to develop software applications or systems that facilitate healthcare research, healthcare services such as medical treatments using the latest innovative technologies. Roles and Responsibilities
o Speak and collaborate with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system
o Implement and maintain the computer systems so they are compliant with the organisation's guidelines or SOP (Standards Operating Procedure)
o Oversee the development of customised software and hardware requirements
o Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure
o Establish, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
o Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency
o Formulate and design the security system to maintain data safety
Skills
o Able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
o Have excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and governance skills
o Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback
o Adept at analysis, problem solving, and conflict resolution
Education and Experience
o Hold a master's degree or bachelor's degree (with at least 3 years' experience) in computer science or software engineering
o Have knowledge and experience in:
o Performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
o Cloud experience, especially in AWS (Amazon Web Service)
o Experience with virtualisation (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
o Network experience (e.g., TCP/IP)
o Skills in information security, integration, data architecture, and programming. Also, experience in application development, and systems software
