Job ResponsibilityCreate test plans, design and execute test cases on systems to check for issues Perform manual exploratory testing and automated testing. Record test progress, document test results, perform a risk analysis to determine product quality and release readiness. Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing. Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality Work with the development team to translate requirements into test plans and test cases. Passion for testing techniques and technology.
o Minimum 2 years work experience with Agile software testing in Cloud and Linux environments. o Experience with Agile software testing techniques such as Risk-Based Testing, Exploratory Testing, Test Sessions, and Test Automation.
o Technical skills. o Basic programming skills (eg: OO programming concepts, JavaScripts, Python).
o General proficiency with version control tools (eg: GIT branches).
o Ability to perform both manual and automated tests as needed.
o Good to have experience in TDD, ATDD.
o Test Automation. o Experience in Test Automation development with skills in at least one scripting language (eg: Python, NodeJS, shell scripting, etc.). o Experience with open-source automation frameworks (eg: Selenium) or another web/mobile/API testing framework.
o Troubleshooting. o Demonstrated working knowledge of problem analytical, troubleshooting, and resolution skills, especially with web applications (e.g. analyze web traffic, REST, GET, POST simulations, SOAPUI/Postman, Maven). o Strong knowledge of white/gray box and black box testing methodologies with hands-on experience. o Basic database and SQL skill is a must (for scripting and troubleshooting).
o Communication. o Ability to comprehend and explain technical aspects of problems. o Excellent team player with strong written and verbal communication skills. o Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teams. o Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to articulate a problem and translate it into a written report
