Job ResponsibilitySME IBM MQ and Solace Infra support Administrator
o Handling new projects which involve MQ Installation and configuration according to the application requirements.
o Performing MQ upgrade from v7.0 to v7.5/v8.0/9.0 in distributed platforms like Aix, Linux, Solaris and Windows.
o Setting up Multi Instance Messaging Queue Managers for applications as one of the High Availability solution.
o Performing MQ Side-by-Side upgrade as a standard procedure that follows in CITI project.
o Handling problem tickets in order find the Root Cause to provide work around and permanent solutions.
o Configuring SSL between queue managers in order to encrypt the application transactions that will be done via MQ.
o Implementation experience in configuring Security exits, authorization, channel authentication records and advanced messaging security.
o Supporting multiple Certification Authorities like Entrust, MS-PK, FRB, Digicert and Verisign according to the partner system configuration.
o Performing MQ fail-over and fail-back between Prod and Cob environments to make sure the recovery in case of disaster.
o Administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of MQ in Aix, Linux, Solaris and Windows.
o Working includes creation, alteration and deletion of MQ managers/objects as per the requests sent by the development teams and adhering to the client's standards.
o Tracking issues under a ticket based Incident Management system and keep the client updated about status of issues.
o Adhering to process and SLA to ensure the closure of tickets within SLA period and escalate the issues to vendor whenever is needed.
o Working on Service Requests, Incidents, Changes and Problem tickets as per request from application and other team's requests.
o Configuring and troubleshooting of Nastel tool which will be used for administration.
o Providing L3 support and handling the issues that will be escalated by L2 team.
o On call and Weekend support in order to share the work load among the team, and also attending daily, weekly conference calls and meetings.
o Solace Patching and upgrade
o Solace VPN creation, Bridge Creation, Profile creation.
o Solace SSL implementation
o Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
o Monitoring Enabling using APPDYNAMICS and Splunk.
o Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions, Work with teams on process improvement and produce necessary metrics to show progress.
o Support all Release Management COB plan execution during testing and actual implementation.
o Track all required environment changes/Post build/ release management changes and ensure consistency across all environments.
o Environment Support for Refresh and Conversion Load activities.
o Ensuring all critical batch streams like nightly batch etc. completes on time, Proper resolution should be shared to respective groups.
o Release batch with adherence to SLA.
o Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
o Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\
o Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
o Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
o Help teams implement value stream mapping and prioritization of countermeasures, based on DevOps/Agile/Lean principles in order to achieve specific measurable results.
o Be a part of a DevOps Enablement team, helping multiple cross-functional delivery teams with the adoption of DevOps cultural and technical practices.
o Perform ad hoc duties as requested as requested by Manager.
o Ensure all SLAs are achieved.
