Job ResponsibilityPosition: Safety & Health Officer
? Familiar on Safety & Health 1974 & Amendment Act 2022
? Plan yearly safety monitoring schedule as per DOSH guidelines and arrange laboratory for analysis.
? Arrange safety meeting with safety committee and take a meeting minute.
? Attended for DOSH inspection for renewal factory and machinery license
? Review all HIRARC and Job Hazard Analysis before its execution.
? Maintain pertinent information on Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and to ensure the relevant communication information is distributed to the responsible party.
? Plan & arrange for fire Drill Training & Building Evacuation every year and prepare report.
? Ensure first aid facility and welfare facilities for workers are in good condition.
? To conduct site safety inspection and recommend corrective action for unsafe act of workers and rectification for unsafe condition in all workplaces by submitting written report to Safety Chairman.
? Compile and submit NADOOPOD, JKKP 8, Monthly Safety & Health Report to relevant parties involved (Internal/External).
? Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
? Liaise with the DOSH, Police and other relevant government agencies with regard to health, safety and security matters affecting workers.
? To observe and/or maintain a diary detailing safety activity(s), hazardous works, housekeeping, safety instruction, etc. in place.
? Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
? Responsible for managing MYKKP system for reporting to DOSH as per statutory requirements.
? Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by superior.
Required Qualifications/ Experience:
o Minimum 1-2 years experience in manufacturing industry
o Familiar with standard concepts and best practices for environment for both safety and administration
o Good writing and verbal communication skills both in Bahasa and English.
o Have knowledge on:-
o OSH Legislations,
o Occupational Risk Assessment,
o Preparation of Safe Operating Procedure,
o Monitoring the effectiveness of control measures,
o Encouraging worker's participation,
o Continuously improving to ensure sustained compliance to OSH Law
o Keen intention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
o Able to work independently as within a team
o Skills to operate common office/site equipment.
o Valid driving license.
SCHEDULE WASTE
Job Description:
? To attend course and obtain competency on Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM)
? To ensure company's full compliance with the regulatory and requirements of the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
? To liaise with DOE for compliance issue.
? To liaise with Vendor for waste collection and invoices.
? To work closely with DOE for all the new requirements update.
? Responsible for handling duty as the competent person for CePSWaM:-
o To consult, plan and implement sound and effective scheduled wastes management practices, including notification, monthly inventory, storage, packaging, labeling and waste disposal.
o Responsible for managing eSWIS system for reporting to DOE as per statutory requirements.
o To review, compile and control site checklist and inventory for scheduled wastes to ensure the waste storage and mass balance are maintained in accordance with DOE's standard.
o To prepare monthly monitoring and maintenance report as required by DOE, including reporting to management for review and improvement.
o To provide training to operators on scheduled waste handling and safety procedure.
o To respond to environmental related issues and perform troubleshooting.
o Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by superior.
Required Qualifications/ Experience:
o Candidate must possess at least:-
o Preferably at least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
o Competent person for CePSWaM Certificate (Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management) will be added advantage
o Experience in handling Schedule Waste will be an advantage.
o Knowledge in ISO 9001 & 14000.
o High motivated and able to work independently.
