Job ResponsibilityJOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Test Development Engineer, your basic function would be to focus on developing high quality test solutions that involves load board/probe card schematic design, defining and managing PCB layout requirements, test program development, debug, correlation, spike check, qualification/characterization activities to meeting High Volume Manufacturing release timelines. The development work can be in the form of ATE test platform conversions, Test Time reductions, yield enhancement, multisite expansions or new silicon test solutions.
Your advanced level responsibilities include working directly with silicon design teams to determine Design For Test coverage strategies as well as determining root causes of DFT coverage gaps.
You will also be responsible to create , modify and optimize test pattern converters from VCD, eVCD, STIL or WGL design formats, to various ATE formats. Pattern conversion programs to be developed and maintained, will also include documentation and packaging as a product offering to JF TestSense's customers. You will also be creating PCB schematics and layout using Allegro Cadence , Altium or PADS CAD software platforms. You will design, fix and enhance test and load boards for Overall Equipment Efficiency improvement projects. You will develop and up-skill new engineers to expand the skilled work-force in JF TestSense.
You should also have a good knowledge and skill-sets in the application and deployment of Industrial Revolution 4.0, specifically for back-end operations automations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
o Establish good working relationship with customer to get pertinent technical information vital to do the Test Development job, during the development and also during the solution hand-over.
o To develop test plans & test strategies.
o Develop ATE test programs in C++, visual Basic or JAVA programming languages.
o Write scripts in Perl, unix or linux shell and python.
o Develop MATLAB coding for digital signal processing simulations and proof of concepts.
o Develop test solutions on micro-FLEX, Ultra-FLEX, ADVANTEST 93K, ETS364, ETS88 and ETS800 ATE platforms.
o To design test schematics, work closely with PCB designers to ensure adherence to layout requirements.
o To document and share test programs using best practices.
o To debug test programs and test hardware to achieve a correlated solution.
o Work with the customer to qualify test solutions into high volume manufacturing.
o Able to apply best practices to ensure optimized test throughput via multisites or test time or both.
o To provide training on test fundamentals and basic tester applications.
o To write application notes or white papers about new or useful test methodologies.
o Provide breakthrough methodology in parallel testing, strategies to reduce test time and improvement of robustness
o Use IR 4.0 knowledge and skill-sets to provide automation services to production test floor operations
o Continuously up skills on new test technologies in the form of new tester platforms or new test instrumentations or new test methodologies.
o Mentor to junior engineers to bring them up to speed to execute their tasks.
o Lead improvement projects to continuously enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
o Meeting department KPI.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Degree in Electronics & Electrical/Mechanical/Electromechanical or equivalent.
o 10 to 15 years' experience in ETS364 and/or 93K platforms for test development.
o Successful completion of at least 5(five) test solution development is preferable.
o Experienced in device ATE testing trouble-shooting and fixing test program related problems.
o Familiar with digital and mixed signal testing methodologies. RF testing knowledge and experience is a plus.
o Experience with RTL ( Verilog ) simulation tools, Allegro CADENCE, Altium and PADS CAD software applications for PCB design.
o Worked with microprocessors, chipsets, ASICs and System on a Chip.
o Experienced in operation level automation implementation using IR 4.0 skills, and application of Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) to enable machine learning during the ATE testing process is a huge plus.
o Good interpersonal and communications skill in English.
o Ready to travel both locally and overseas.
o Analytical minded.
o Able to work within an internal and external team.
