Job Description
Job Responsibility
To lead and monitor all new product and process development projects for seasonings, sauces and pastes for snack, instant noodle, biscuit and food service categories.
To ensure product ideation, raw material sourcing, product and process development, cost effective and operation capability will be built-in criteria for running all product development projects.
To keep abreast of the market trend on new products and ensure products developed are speed to markets.
To ensure product compliance by design (quality, food safety & regulatory)
To support & implement cost saving initiative in line with business strategy.
To improve existing product, process & packaging solutions
To act as gate keeper for approving new product launch from technical aspect
To provide technical supports on production issues, including processing procedures, preparation of ingredients and packaging processes to ensure the final products are safe and meet the required quality.
To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology or related disciplines.
Min 15 years of working experience in food industry, preferably with strong product development knowledge in seasoning / sauce / paste products.
Good management and supervisory skill. Min 3 years of experience leading a team of research & development in food product renovation & innovation for FMCG will be an added advantage.
Able to communicate effectively and possess basic computer knowledge.
Own transport, willing to travel when needed.
Competence in Microsoft Office.
Able to travel if required.
