Job ResponsibilityRequired Qualification:
? Mastery of the Infrastructure Modernization domain area:
? Understanding the networking and security implications of cloud-native design.
? Migrating n-tiered workloads from on-prem and other clouds to GCP with near-zerodowntime (includes full-spectrum of lift and shift to complete re-platforming scenarios).
? Building hybrid-cloud solutions based on VM and containerization technologies, such
as VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, and Anthos.
? Experience with automation technologies including Terraform, Google Cloud
Deployment Manager, AWS Cloud Formation, or Microsoft Azure Automation.
? Experience guiding complex, long-term customer engagements. Common examples would
be large-scale migration to the cloud, migration from one cloud to another, or large-scale netnew applications on the cloud.
? Experience providing leadership, oversight, and direction of cloud adoption projects.
? Experience guiding technical design sessions, architecting and documenting technical
solutions that are aligned with client business goals, and identifying gaps between the client's
current and desired end states.
? Experience strategizing, designing, architecting, and directing the deployment of scalable
solutions on GCP.
? Experience across more than one cloud platform: GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.
? Experience working with engineering and sales teams to clearly identify customer
requirements.
? Experience scoping and estimating time commitments needed for complex engineering tasks.
? Ability to communicate across business units and the ability to interface with and communicate
complex technical concepts to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
? Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple streams and guide less
experienced architects.
? Experience as a technical consultant or another customer-facing technical role.
Useful Qualifications:
? Experience heading cloud architecture teams.
? Hands-on experience designing and recommending elegant solutions that drive business
outcomes.
? Experience building, designing, and migrating complex cloud architectures.
? Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques with a willingness and capability
to skill up the team.
? Ability to facilitate an in-depth client meeting/workshop across a broad range of topics
including discovery, cloud compliance, and security.
? Deep understanding of best practices, design patterns, reference, and compliance
architectures with an ability to build and recommend these as needed.
? Knowledge and understanding of industry trends, new technologies, and the ability to apply
these to customer architectures to drive outcomes.
? Certifications and experience with other public cloud providers.
? Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
? Mastery in at least one of the following domain areas:
? Data Engineering:
? Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and related data products (Datalab,
Dataprep, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc).
? Data warehouse modernization (including technical architectures, star/snowflake
schema designs, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT pipelines, and
reporting/analytic tools).
? OLTP/OLAP data migrations, backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience working with Hadoop and the surrounding ecosystems, including Hive,
Pig, Spark, etc.
? Data Science:
? ML/AI solution development, building models, and other components related to
applying data science to real-world problems.
? Application Development:
? Building custom web and mobile applications on top of the GCP stack.
? Familiarity with development APIs and libraries for development on GCP.
? Experience with cloud development tools like Apigee, Google App Engine (or other
PaaS tools).
? Experience with SDLC lifecycle tools and their implementation.
? Experience with one or more modern programming languages.
