Job ResponsibilityROLE OVERVIEW :
Administer and support the Bank's Databases and monitoring over the health of the Databases to ensure system efficiency availability at all times.
Perform design, development, testing and installation of the Database Applications environments for applications covering all modules in the Core Banking System; APIs to third party system i.e. Bank Negara Application etc.; APIs to SST machines, Call Centre, Internet Banking and ad-hoc System Request in order to support effective of business operations and provide maximum performance result for the users.
Participate in development and design of database strategies, and planning for future expansion requirement to ensure fully comply to the regulations and Group requirement.
Infrastructure Support:
Manage the Infrastructure Database Administrator and activities on (Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL) to ensure effective provision of IT infrastructure support services, as per the defined SLAs to fulfil user requirements.
Ensure effective coordination with IT operations team to manage the first line support of infrastructure while liaising with IT Infrastructure and database design or vendors for second line support where needed ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Ensure effective monitoring process running to ensure that the database and Backup management is running as per the SLAs defined by IT Performance Management while proactively identifying areas of improvement and recommending solutions.
Ensure that the Database is running as per the defined SLA.
Ensure the execution of the received deployment plan for database structure upgrades done on time.
Ensure that the latest database patches are ready and correctly deployed
Conduct configuration and tuning of database in coordination with Infrastructure Design team
Provide required statistical and status reports on the production environment in collaboration with IT infrastructure security and design.
Manage the execution of disaster recovery plans and operate disaster recovery center as per design from IT database design and Business Continuity Plan
Responsible for planning, evaluating, acquiring, developing, deploying, maintaining and supporting IT Systems and infrastructure Database.
Responsible for Database management including security, configuration, resource monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting, and the development of specialized programs.
Manage, in association with ITD heads and Group Leaders, all aspects of the Bank's Database,
Backup devices, planning and management, with high available, secure, efficient, cost effective and integrated IT infrastructure.
