Job ResponsibilitySENIOR ENGINEER, PRODUCTION Position Summary
The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day production performance of the following:
o Perform daily well monitoring / surveillance, short term optimisation (within operating envelope), data analysis and trending on gas / condensate production, annulus pressures (well integrity), flaring and well issues (using exception-based surveillance) to explain production fluctuations and identify concerns vs targets based on production policy for gas and condensate.
o Managing day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on safety and environmental issues.
o Well integrity management, well intervention activities and well, reservoir, and facility management.
o Key role in interfacing and providing the business focus on well surveillance, well activity management and meeting production targets by working together with Technical Services, Maintenance, WRFM and Wells teams.
Principle Accountabilities
1. HSSE:
o Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management procedures and controls across the engineering plan to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
o Comply to all KPOC, MPM and regulatory approved standard and procedures.
2. Key Accountabilities:
o To maximize asset hydrocarbon production well through surveillance, well activity management, deferment reduction to meet production targets working together with WRFM, KBB Offshore, Technical Services, Maintenance and Asset Integrity Team.
o Collaboration with WRFM team on production policy, well testing, periodic well performance review and weekly WRFM meetings.
o Ensure well test is carried out as per MPM compliance and conduct initial verification and validation of well test results.
o Manage specific targets (production, flare, reservoir management) through planning, monitoring, feedback and annual reviews.
o Identifying and understanding threats and opportunities to Production Forecasting
o Ensure P2 software is utilised effectively for well performance monitoring and production optimization.
o Own, design and maintain production engineering standards, guidelines, processes and procedures - Production Policy, Bean-Up Guidelines, RCA, MOC.o Manage communications between offshore production representative and onshore team.
o Manage gas production planning and hydrocarbon allocation for KPOC.
o Assist in coordinating of Operation activity for KBBH planned shutdown.
o Assist in submission to Work Plan & Budget approval and annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
o Lead operations reviews for Small Projects, Turnaround Campaigns and other Brownfield activities/projects.
o Prepare reports and information required for internal and external stake holders i.e. AMIR, IOM, GODC, TCM.
o Manage good stakeholder relationship with internals, external parties and shareholders for all activities pertaining to wells and production. - Wells, Development, EPE, WRFM, Maintenance, TS.
o Participate in risk management and mitigation discussions and identify key risks and opportunities.
o Managing contracts and the performance of contractors within KBB field operations.
o Deliver CSR roles for Wells activities as and when required.
o Lead/participate in safety and technical incident investigations, producing detailed reports with recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
o Responsible for all process and production chemicals application at Company's assets (gas and crude hub) to maintain the integrity of equipment, KBB offshore laboratory and to meet fluid sales, export, and discharge specifications.
o Monitor usage of chemicals offshore and perform analyses against production and process data not limited to the following:
o TEG
o Methanol
o Sodium Hypochlorite o Terminal 66
o Coordinate and manage the undertaking of laboratory testing of samples collected from Company's assets, and their subsequent analyses in conformance to industry and Company standards.
o Develop, implement, and maintain a chemical management strategy to monitor chemical usage, performance, and chemical3. Well Integrity:
o Responsible for well integrity, ensuring regular PM's is conducted as per plan & verifying the wells operate as per KPOC Well Integrity Policy. Work closely with production technologist and well intervention team.
o Raise MOC for any deviation from the Well Integrity Policy by consulting Well Integrity Champion (Wells Engineering Manager) to operate & produce the well safely ensuring well barriers are in place.
o Focal point for Sands Monitoring system, optimise production to produce minimal amount of sand or identify Well Intervention method to address sanding issue.
o Clear understanding of operating envelope of KBB wells.
o Act as custodian to the Wells Segment in P2 ensuring accurate configuration and user interface providing accurate information.
Requirements
1. Qualifications:
o Degree/Masters in Engineering from an accredited University
o 7 to 10 years of Production Operations experience in the Oil & Gas sector engineering of which at least 5 years in operations would be required, preferably in an operated offshore gas asset.
2. Skills in well optimization, knowledge of subsurface technology and well service activities required.
3. Good communication skills in English, good trouble shooting, analytical and problem- solving skills.
4. Computer literacy and familiarity with tools eg. PI Process Book, P2, is required.
5. Priority to Sabahan applicants.
