Job ResponsibilityRequirements:
o Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience with geotechnical related design and consulting.
o Technically competent and well-developed engineering judgement skills to assess geotechnical problems and to provide construction stage advice.
o Preferably Chinese speaking and required languages: Chinese, English & Bahasa Malaysia.
o Ability to write clear and concise technical reports.
o Ability to mentor and train more junior team members.
o Ability to work well with others as a team, strong interpersonal, organisational skills.
o Knowledge and experience in any of the following engineering programs are added advantage: Plaxis, Geo-Slope, Ressa, Prokon, AutoCAD & etc.
o Registered Professional Engineer (PE) will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
o Supervise a team of junior engineers to senior professionals to perform routine design, planning activities. Thus, improve technical capabilities of the team.
o To conduct desk studies, analysis and engineering design. Preparation of technical specification and engineering technical drawing.
o Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaption and notification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
o Examine drawings for completeness, detail and accuracy as peer reviewer. Check prints and coordinate between this and utility drawings.
o Perform checking and verification of design calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings to ensure high quality.
o Liaison with local authorities and project personnel to achieve delivery objectives.
o Coordinate work with the contractors and monitor the progress to ensure the completion is within the specified time frame and the work is in compliance with the specifications/standard.
o Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve interface issues and technical clarifications.
o Project management: to prepare Bills of Quantities, tender document, contract and etc.
o Maintain document control, data management, track project and team management.
