Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager Job Descriptions
As a SOC Manager you will have a chance to:
- Plan, direct and control the SOC functions and operations
- Ensure the monitoring and analysis of incidents to protect People, Technology and Process addressing all security incidents and ensuring timely escalation
- Lead and manage the Security Operations and team of security operational staff members
- Ensure incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation and monitoring
- Ensure compliance to policy, process, and procedure adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives
- Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework, review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs
- Be responsible for overall use of resources and initiation of corrective action where required for Security Operations Center
- Ensure daily management, administration and maintenance of security devices to achieve operational effectiveness
- Ensure threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
- Create reports, dashboards, metrics for SOC operations
We are looking for an individual with:
- Holds a bachelor's degree or Professional Certificate from a recognized institution, preferably in IT/Information Systems/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or any relevant field
- Minimum 5-7 years related work experience, preferably with good experience in Security tools such as Endpoint, SIEM, UEBA and Threat Intelligence
- Experience in ensuring security measures are compliant with prevailing standards (SOC 2/ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical skills with the good understanding of Cyber Security monitoring, process flow best practices, privacy and risk policies to protect business against attacks and threats
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH and other relevant IT certifications
