Job Description

Job Responsibility
  • Liaise directly with Department Heads on all matters concerning security & safety within their respective Department.
  • Establish & maintain a close contact & rapport with the police, Fire Department & other government bodies as may be necessary & of benefit to the property.
  • Ensure that the Security Department is organized & run in an efficient & cost effective at all times, taking into consideration that a certain level of security will always be necessary.
  • Ensure that all security personnel carry out their duties in accordance with their job descriptions and that all security personnel are interchangeable in their functions.
  • Review all security measures, procedures, equipments & methods from time to time for protective & preventive purposes so as to maintain efficiently tight security control.
  • Ensure that all necessary steps are taken to safeguard the Property against fire including Emergency Procedure & Evaluation Plan.
  • Organize and implement training and briefing sessions for all employees to ensure that all staff are familiar with what they must do in the event of an emergency when evacuation is necessary.
  • Receive customer complaints, conduct or supervise investigations of cases of unethical behavior or non-compliance with laws and policies.
  • Participate in commercial investigation in case of lost items.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a SPM or at least 2 long years working experience in security line.
  • Added advantage if have Military/Army/Police force background and working experience in a retail/shopping complex/building environment.
  • Have substantial knowledge of local security and occupational safety & health legislation/regulation and contract services, knowledge  of handling electronic system such as CCTV, BAS, Public Address systems and security & fire alarm systems
  • Have strong analytical, written and oral communication skills and able to communicate well in English/Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Possess an excellent planning & organizational skills, proven & effective leadership and people management skills.
