Job ResponsibilityShipboard Operations
o Ensures safe working conditions are maintained in the engine room
o 2. In charge of bunkering operations and ensures required documentation is completed during each bunker operations
Repairs and Maintenance
o In charge of the inspection and maintenance of the entire ship's machineries and equipment including deck and accommodation machineries
o Maintain stand by plant and systems in a complete state of readiness to meet any emergency requirement
Supervision of Personnel
o Plans and schedule work of the Engine Department personnel
o Organizes adequate watch while at sea and in port and issues standing orders for the operation of engine machineries
Pollution Control and Prevention
o Ensure the vessel complies with all pollution prevention regulations at all times
o Notifying the Master immediately of any defects, which may affect the ship or risk the marine environment
