Job Description
Job Responsibility
To manage inbound, production and outbound flows within Penang site in accordance with the global strategy.
To ensure the smooth facility start-up as well as production kickoff.
For operations, he/she will be the interface between sales and operations regarding S&OP review, and escalation point if needed.
He/she will have to ensure the capabilities enhancement and continuous motivation of the team members
Report to the Plant General Manager and will have a dotted line reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager.
Ensure smooth communication with production and distribution with the target of improving product availability for customers.
Drive the local S&OP process : Identify and take actions regarding internal and external bottlenecks. Review the demand for the site.
Ensure the inventory policy for the local site for components, sub-assemblies and finished goods
Participate in new product launching in order to establish the flows
Manage exception and communication to sales and customers.
Manage prioritization of sales orders with regional manager, in case of allocation.
Ensure that all the financials controls are done in a timely manner
Ensure the financial month-end closure, with accurate financial data and avoid too many manual updates.
Ensure that processes and guidelines are followed by the team. In case, of gaps, being able to make proposal for changes to hierarchy.
Train local team as a local key user in case of changes and cascade information to teams.
Be the interface between different departments, for all topics that are linked to supply chain
Team management and coaching.
Define roadmaps for site supply chain
Integrate supply chain strategy
Drive local S&OP process
Job Requirements
Possess Bachelor Degree/Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field, APICs certification
With at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role in Supply Chain operations
Possess lean capabilities on problem solving and value stream mapping
Experienced in S & OP process and demand planning
Experienced in international trade
Experienced in managing LMW operations
Possess good understanding of ERP functionalities and being able to standardize processes
With good project management skills
Team worker with excellent communication skills, able to convince (from push to pull)
Good business sense and high customer orientation
Being able to manage stress and conflicts
Ability to lead teams
Comfortable with leading change
Reliable & able to maintain commitments
Being able to influence decisions
Strategic thinking
Possess good analytical skills
