Job ResponsibilityJob Responsibilities
1. Auditing production, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behaviour or breaks in regulations
2. Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
3. Creating analytical reports of safety data
4. Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe
5. Ordering repairs for unsafe and/or damaged equipment
6. Focusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training
7. Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
8. Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques
9. Determining whether the finished product is safe for customers
10. Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes
11. Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company
12. Meeting company health and safety goals
13. Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site
14. Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident
15. Finding the best way to prevent future accidents
16. Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance
Requirements
1. Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang (Monday-Saturday).
2. Staff accommodation is provided.
3. Ability to foresee and evade risk appropriately
4. Leadership skills by establishing relationships with workers
5. Critical thinking and decision-making skills that help to assist with the smooth running of the project
6. Minimum 3 years of experience is required in the commercial construction industry
7. A Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in fields such as Engineering, Construction or Project Management
8. Valid competency certificates
9. Registration as a Safety and Health Officer. Possession of adequate clerical skills to support the construction project manager
