Job ResponsibilityPosition : Quantity Surveyor
Location : Kota Kinabalu
REQUIREMENT
o Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
*At least 2-10 years experience in Quantity Surveyor /relevant main construction
o Candidates must have experience in high-rise project
o Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage as need to deal with China expatriates and workers.
o Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
JOB DESCRIPTION
o Preparation and submission of budgetary estimates from tender drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and costs estimation, progress claim, variation order, evaluation of claims, etc.
o Prepare award of contracts, check contract documents and to recommend contractor's valuations.
o Accountable for pre and post contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, site valuation, variation order and final accounts.
o Assist in operation matters on contractual issues and any other contracts administration duties related to QS.
o Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply extension of time if necessary.
o Acquire quotation from contractor and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
o Collaborate with client, consultant, suppliers and sub-contractors.
o Co-ordinate with finance department on payment related matters, monitoring monthly projection of cash flow, physical report for on-going project.
o Attend site valuation, site measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
o Prepare/verify payment certificates and finalize final account of projects.
o To highlight to the project department on any commercial and contractual issues and solve the issue.
o Prepare monthly report, project budget and cash flow projection.
o Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.
