Job Responsibility

• Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvement plan, also work with the operations team on cost-savings initiatives.
• Collect and report market information, prepare price forecasts for budgeting as well as monitor and analyze market development and initiate changes.
• Source and negotiate of best price offers for commodities to support business operations.
• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and projects.
• Execute purchasing contracts for commodities to reduce price fluctuations.
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
• Analyze purchase orders and delivery time with the aim to reduce operating capital, increase inventory turnover and increase payment terms
• Keep a constant check on stock levels and record reference.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge in negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts/orders with suppliers and other representatives.
• Candidates with 1 year related experience in Cosmetic Industry/Food Industry is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience specialising in Purchasing field.
• Well versed in cost control, food costing, food cost analysis.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Alor Setar, Kedah.
