Job Description
Job Responsibility
Maintaining and strengthening ongoing relationships with existing suppliers including attending supplier meetings and negotiating the price of current and new products.
Maximising sales and profitability of our business through the development and implementation of a strategic buying plan.
Negotiating and maintaining purchasing contracts and terms.
Monitoring stock levels for current products.
Assessing min/max levels for current products.
Preparing and issuing purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms.
Forecasting the purchasing materials and stocks according to the current stock level.
Identify and analyze the market value of current and new products.
Establish metrics to measure and improve department performance, including supplier performance, shortage, price changes, supplier quality, etc.
Prepare invoices, reports, and other documents using word, processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
Liaised and received orders from existing and new customers.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree.
Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
