Job Description


Job Responsibility
Purchasing & Order Management
o Responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiating with suppliers/ vendors to constantly strive for best pricing and maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability and service
o Defines initiates and manages cost reduction projects, on assigned spend areas aimed at struc-turally reducing costs.
o Attained the best value by developing negotiation strategies and providing negotiation strategies and providing analytical support for selection and management of suppliers/ vendors.
o Build up strong vendors' network and evaluate vendor's performance, vendor's selection and con-tract negotiation.
o Monitoring stocks in warehouse and ensure all stocks are fully utilized on a timely basis
o Evaluate and regulate spare parts inventory based on demand history, availability, and signifi-cance.
o Prepare and issue purchase orders when necessary
o Keeping an eye on stock levels to make sure supplies are always accessible
o Coordinating with suppliers to place orders for products that are low on supply or that require re-plenishment
o Obtain price lists from vendors to create and update (internal and customers)
o Coordinates the yearly Inventory & Reconciliation process
o Controlling inventory levels by placing new orders for supplies as needed or asking for returns

Logistics
o Oversee freight carriers to ensure receiving the best price and service
o Oversee the product shipment process and documentation preparation for products import as well as export to ensure smooth transition
o Liaising with authorities for all import and export documentations
o Monitoring the flow of items via the supply chain with the aid of computer programmes or manual systems
o Keeping track of supplies, equipment, supplies, and fleet vehicles
o Liaise with internal team and create shipping plans for items to ensure timely delivery
o Manage and liaise with other internal departments and external logistics service providers on warehouse, shipping & delivery requirements for sea and air freight
o Looking into current technology and shipping trends to see which is ideal for the needs of the company
o Putting together reports on shipping activity to highlight areas for improvement, including arrival timings and delays.

Requirements:
o Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Engineer-ing (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Electromechanical) Supply chain/Warehouse Management, Logistic and Transport Administration, Business Administration or other related field or equiva-lent.
o Knowledge in robotic applications or other automated systems is an added advantage
o A pro-active and resourceful individual with excellent negotiation, communication and motivation skills
o Ability to communicate concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
o Have SAP knowledge/experience.
o Ability to work under pressure.
o Team player but also capable to work independently.
o Have good sense of time management and strong customer focus.
