Job ResponsibilityJOB SUMMARY
Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. An innovative Civil Engineer to design, develop and construct a huge range of projects of the physically and naturally built environment from conception through to completion. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between the office, on-site visits, and attending council meetings.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
2. Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
3. Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
4. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
5. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
6. Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
7. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
8. Reviewing government regulations and ordinances. Preparing related documentation, paperwork and comply with government authority guideline & procedures.
9. Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors including architects.
10. Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
11. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
12. Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
REQUIREMENT OF QUALIFICATION
1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
2. 5 years or more is strongly desired with proven working experience in civil engineering either in constructions, development or consultation.
3. Preferable for male candidate based on nature of work.
4. Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or any related.
5. Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
6. Ability to dealing with government agency and authority.
DEPARTMENTAL KNOWLEDGE/ WORKING EXPERIENCED
1. Proven working experience in civil engineering either in constructions, development or consultation.
2. Project management and supervision skills.
3. Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
4. Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
5. The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
