Job ResponsibilityWorking Location: Kuala Lumpur
o Minimum of 15-20 years of industry experience working as a Completion Engineer, with 5-7 years as offshore
completion supervisor.
o Experienced in completion design for offshore development wells. Experience in DST design in exploration
well is an added advantage
o Experienced in field development plan and understanding in well life cycle process in Malaysia
o Experience working on/with offshore jackup and floater operations.
o Previous experience performing cost and performance tracking, cost estimating, and the typical office based
and rig-based completion engineering functions.
o Experience in well completion design, planning and operation in offshore extended reach wells.
o Valid IWCF and T-Bosiet / HUET certifications. Experienced and advance level in use of Landmark
o Drilling Engineering suite of programs.
o Experience in sand control screen selection/gravel pack, screen qualification test, filter cake breaker and
drill-in-fluid (DIF)
o Strong background in completion components typically run-in offshore environments (i.e., Downhole Safety
Valves, Fluid Loss Valves, etc.)
o Proficient in use of data analytic techniques, data science platforms, and programming languages (e.q.
Python) is an added advantage.
o Experience with reservoir modeling (Eclipse, WellWhiz, SMART, etc.)
o Familiar with Decision and Risk Analysis tools and techniques
o Ability to attack complex problems requiring a high level of technical expertise
o Familiar with laboratory methods and techniques related to well stimulation (conductivity testing, rock
strength testing, fluids testing, etc.)
o Demonstrated ability to write technical reports and deliver effective presentations
o Experience with systems analysis and inflow performance a plus.
o Demonstrated ability to solve well problems by applying current techniques or developing and qualifying
new technologies and process when required
o Recognized history of contribution to the industry (papers, technical committee, board membership,
patents, etc)
o Strong knowledge of economic evaluation, project management, and risk analysis processes will be needed.
o Strong influencing, leadership and organizational skills
o Excellent communication skills are critical
