Job Responsibility1. Product development -
- To develop bench-top product concepts around pet food starting off with cats and dogs while taking into consideration formulations based on the required nutrition and product story-telling.
- Keep track of all stages of development and flag, discuss, suggest solutions and overcome challenges that may arise in terms of cost and regulations around pet food.
- Evaluate product stability and sensory criteria for pet food
- To collaborate with external labs, institutions, regulatory bodies , customers (B2B) for functional raw materials that would be used in pet food; including but not limited to flavors.
2. Commercialization
- To initiate, research, lay out options and engage with respective parties for commercialization activities via distribution, customer acquisition, marketing channels ie e-commerce, marketplace, trade show and sampling focusing on pet food.
- To contribute to sales & brand strategies; be involved in on-the-ground marketing & sales activities; launch community-driven formats facilitating conversations around sustainability, healthy, clean-label pet food and gather feedback on what people care about.
3. Production
- To plan and execute bootstrap pet food production that would convert into commercial scale seamlessly by ensuring the right processes and equipments for said processes are analyzed from all angles eg. Costs, import criteria, efficiencies.
- To commission and set up SOPs for bootstrap pet food production which later would translate into a commercial line
4. Process and Engineering
- To determine the right, quality controlled raw materials by identification of critical control points that could influence the overall quality of pet food.
- To ensure cleanliness and food/people safety is kept at highest priority by frequent audits.
