Job ResponsibilityJob Description
This position is responsible for procuring goods for the company, such as purchasing vehicles from our supplier and other items by performing the following duties as well as other duties which may be assigned:
o Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the purchasing function.
o Responsible for developing and monitoring the department budget.
o Assigns inventory part numbers to all new inventory products. Completes and maintains product specification files for all new or revised products/materials.
o Sources suppliers and negotiates prices for goods and services.
o Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotation that uses appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service.
o Designs, implements, manages and monitors purchasing reporting system to meet company's requirements.
o Maintains and verifies purchasing records such as items or services purchased, cost, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
o Establish and participate in inventory count cycles.
o Maintains stocking levels of inventoried items to ensure inventory is adequate for all required shipment.
o Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
o Expedites delivery of goods to users.
