Job ResponsibilityJob Description
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for sourcing, request quotations (minimum 3 quotes), and price negotiation with suppliers for tender and project assigned.
o To generate Purchase Order and send to Supplier (local purchase) or (oversea purchase)
o Monitor and follow up on supplier's shipment or delivery to ensure that item purchased is delivered within the timeline.
o Feedback and follow-up the issues regarding quality, shortage, and warranty claim with suppliers.
o Co-ordinate with Project / Store / Production team to understand and fulfill their needs for smooth operations.
o Develop and evaluate new vendors to ensure requirements and pricing objectives are met.
o Ensure item purchase is within budget. Any over budget shall raise alert to Project and EQS department immediately.
o To act as a back-up of the group members and assist in the procurement of the project assigned in the absence of the other party.
o To undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Job Requirements: -
o Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
o At least 5 years of working purchasing experiences in manufacturing & some technical/engineering background as well.
o An analytical mind and meticulous nature.
o Pleasant personality and able to interact all level of people., strong follow up and good negotiation skills.
o Competent and accurate in handling procurement.
o Able to work independently & in teamwork.
o Have a great sense of urgency and able to handle multi-tasks under pressure.
o Computer literate, knowledge and experience in AUTOCOUNT software will be an added advantage.
o Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
