Job ResponsibilityCoordinate internally with the Project Manager / Project Engineers / Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer / Proposals Engineers and understand the overall scope of work of the particular project/job in detail.
Ensure planned (process) engineering progress with respect to the engineering deliverables for tenders (as required) and awarded projects, process engineering planning & scheduling, manpower & resource forecasts.
Process design & detail engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, sizing & selection of equipment etc. for tenders (as required) and for awarded projects. Review of clients' tender documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED & calculations.
Preparation of various engineering deliverables (eg. drawings & documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, Heat & Mass Balances, P & I Diagrams, process datasheets, equipment specifications and schedules, line sizing, Cause & Effect diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP studies & reports, operation & maintenance manuals, client comment closeout reports etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments.
To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity, efficiency and quality.
Assist with the preparation and issuance of RFQ's, evaluation of supplier quotations, clarifications, and technical bid analysis etc.
Participate in (daily) project scrum meetings. Manage, monitor and report on the status of engineering design of the project.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs and model reviews.
Ensure quality & HSE norms/procedures are strictly followed and observance of safety requirements.
Quality control in accordance with procedures, method statements, quality plans and inspection & test plans, all prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors.
Ensure KPI's set by client are successfully met.
Manage process engineering sub-contractors for engineering design.
Coordinate with the project engineer / manager to issue reports required by client on time and be involved in preparation of these reports.
Ensure all tasks related to process design are executed as per approved drawings, calculations and documents.
For prospects: develop and review engineering designs and plans by identifying equipment requirements, equipment layout plans, developing technical and capacity specifications, reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, documentation, quotations, etc. to ensure that the required engineering design is prepared. Liaise with Commercial Manager and Proposal Engineers on regular basis.
Provide inputs and verification during the preparation of as-built markup drawings and documents after completion of the fabrication, (pre) commissioning and startup.
Ensure work complies with Quality Management System (QMS) and continuously improve it.
Ensure continuous human capital improvements through business-driven initiatives or as directed by head office/management.
Have some experienced with Mercury removal, Amine Gas Sweetening, Dew Point Control and Molecular Sieve Dehydration
Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
Specialization in Petroleum / Petro Chemical Engineering preferred.
At least 8-10 years working experience in relevant industry
