The role for Power System Expert, will be based in our Nilai Plant. We offer a permanent role for this position and you will be responsible for identifying, developing & implementing the power system equipment, Preventive Maintenance and design.
We are looking for someone who has:
o Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic)
o At least 10-15 years of working experiences in the related field is required for this position for Degree holders.
o Good experience in Power System.
o Industrial experience/ Project in Petrochemical/Polyester or similar industry.
o Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
o Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Solid works
o Expertise in data and problem analysis and creative problem solving
o Up-to-date knowledge and technical skills required to design and operate our core products and service
Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
o Identify the power system equipment or area which are having probability of major failure, power blackout etc.
o Identify the design and system gaps and develop & implement action to overcome
o Prepare detail action plan in power system by categorizing the level of risk with short & long-term mitigation plan.
o workout power system redundancy for critical services & operation
o work out Auto power change over and on load changeover facility
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategy in coordination with process team to take equipment shutdown in phase manner by having minimum production loss to assure no failure after PM.
o Review system life cycle, obsoleteness and deficiency and prepare & implement action plan to retrofit with advance system in minimum cost.
o Review the Relay coordination study/setting etc. and implement the required actions to fix the gap.
o Coordinate all the technical scope, review and discussion with Vendor, consultant, COE, Recron/RPCM team.
o Have expertise in 132 KV GIS , 11 KV SWGR , LV ACB /Switchgear , Protection relays , HT Motors , Power transformer etc.
o Have knowledge in Energy management system , Relay coordination , Relay settings etc.
o Have Good experience in ABB , TAMCO , GE , Siemens switchgear and protection relays.
o Have knowledge in Power cables , Utility compressor , chillers etc.
o Have experience in UPS and DC Chargers etc.
o Have knowledge in Grounding , bonding and lightening system.
