Job Responsibility1. Establish procedures and timeline for realization and development of new products to ensure timely completion of new product development projects.
2. Liaise with customers and understand customers' expectations and concept on to-be developed products, design product formulations, manufacturing processes and equipment needs.
3. Establish goals and priorities for the product development by collaborating with Supply Chain Department, Production Department and Quality Control Department.
4. Check and ensure new materials are evaluated and comply with set requirements before purchase.
5. Prepare manufacturing and process control documents for production of trial batches and liaise with Quality Control Department on the testing parameters required for the products.
6. Recommend new ideas to make improvements in the development process or product quality.
7. Analyze and evaluate test results, and decide if new tests are needed for improvement of product physical and mechanical properties, and product ease of manufacturing.
8. Arrange to manufacture trial / pilot batches for customers' samples, product quality testing and method validation activity, stability study and/or product registration submission.
9. Ensure all phases of product development including data, observations, manufacturing variables, materials characteristics, environmental conditions, manufacturing process difficulties, etc. are clearly and properly documented.
10. Provide timely and regular updates on the status of products being developed.
11. Prepare product registration dossier (product formula, manufacturing procedures, in-process quality controls, product container and closure system) and ensure all required documents are available for regulatory submission and review.
12. Interface, support and guide Production staff during scale-up manufacturing and commercialization of new product.
13. Reformulate out of specifications production batches and conduct small batches trials to rectify the out of specifications.
14. Any other jobs as directed by the General Manager or Managing Director.
