Job Responsibility
MARKETING MANAGER
(Location : Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya)

Job Summary
The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Group Strategy & Alliances and is required to present strategies for marketing and studying the company's competitors, plan and carry out business development activities and promotions in the form of talks, exhibitions and web marketing, among others. The incumbent will take the lead in developing web marketing and communications and establish a strong ELS branding in the market. Together with the team in the marketing department, look into creating sales and marketing activities to improve student population and retention rates. The job functions and responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to the following:

Job Duties
Business Development & General Marketing
o To explore and develop marketing strategies and plans for existing and new markets;
o Study and collate competitors information in order to ensure a good grasp of industry trends, strategise into new market segments and take a proactive role in proposing a shift in the company's business operations;
o To monitor and execute leads nurturing activities with counsellors to sustain higher conversion to enrolments;
o To have regular meeting with centre heads and counsellors to address marketing related issues and build teamwork;
o To coordinate marketing activities to increase sales of the Company's products and services;
o To compile monthly statistics, analyse and make comparisons on past statistics and forecasts;
o To work towards the fulfilment of Company KPI's and enrolment goals;
o To sustain an overall positive team spirit and morale for productivity and effectiveness in all of the department's endeavours;

Web Marketing & Communications
o To manage and coordinate ELS' websites, search engine and social media platforms to maximise external exposure, improve online enquiries, constantly update news and events and develop competitions for online users;
o To manage online marketing work in accordance with the marketing plan as determined by the department head;
o To support helpdesk, business associates & email enquiries regarding ELS programmes, procedures and student services;
o To prepare web statistics and reports for web strategies and decision-making;
o To perform copywriting for internal and external communications;
o To develop marketing collaterals for print and web materials;

Branding & Events
o To visit schools counsellors, organise school talks, attend school exhibitions, collect student's data, maintain effective communications with schools and carry out related outreach activities to create awareness with students;
o To network and leverage on schools relationship to promote brand, products, services and building long-term partnership projects;
o To organise exhibitions, conferences and other events;
o To oversee ELS' branding through media coverage

Auxiliary
o To plan and promote the Holiday English Camp for International/Malaysian students;
o To undertake any other projects or work assignments as assigned by Management.

Standards of Performance
The standards of performance are met when:
1. The candidate is able to display good project management and communication skills and able to administer and execute all projects together with the Centres and relevant parties.
2. The candidate is able to provide timely reports to management and have good desktop publishing skills.
3. The candidate is able to ensure successful marketing (general & web) projects and communication including good content & branding in all media.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: A Degree/Masters in Marketing or Business with major in marketing, management and/or related subject.
Experience: Two or three years of leadership experience especially in education field. Being familiar with CRM tools such as HubSpot and/or Salesforce will be an advantage.
Personal Characteristics: Proficiency in the English language (both written and spoken), Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. Takes responsibility and accountability seriously, is a team player and able to analyse, strategise, work independently with great initiative in performing all tasks and projects. Further attributes include being resourceful and disciplined.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business, with a major in Marketing, Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably in the education industry
- English language proficiency required
- Responsible for articulating, coordinating, managing and analysing all advertising, marketing, and promotional materials and activities with regular updates to the Management
- Responsible for overseeing digital marketing and communications and implementing strategies for marketing events and campaigns
- Responsible for researching current market conditions
- Responsible for monitoring, managing and budgeting marketing plans and projects
- Responsible for the supervision of the marketing team
