Job ResponsibilityJob description
o Responsible of resolving 2nd level escalation help desk issues that includes hardware and software. This will cover all in-house build application issues / order issues in UAT / PROD environment, which need to work with engineer, 1st level helpdesk, Project team, Server team, Network team and etc closely.
o Responsible to evaluate, resolve and support production/UAT issue. This require candidate to perform basic database administrative activities such as database backup/restoration, configuration SQL server HA/DR options, configuring SQL jobs, analysis of data in the database, data modification and etc.
o Responsible to create and execute SQL scripting to retrieve/modify data in the database based as required.
o Assist in database deployment work such as installation/configuring database in production or pre-production environment and SQL server database migration.
o Responsible on Mock run and Disaster Recovery exercise, as part of exchange and client request.
o Assisting in performing database performance analysis and fine-tuning/house keeping. Also performing regular and periodic database maintenance such as patches and database upgrade to ensure the database is running at its optimal performance.
o Monitor SQL server health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
o
o Responsible of doing simple reporting to management or client and technical documentation.
Job Requirement
o Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
o At least 4 years' experience in related field (IT Support/Application Support).
o Resourceful and able to work effectively in a team. Initiative when assigned job.
o Able to withstand stress in order to meet timelines when necessary.
o Knowledge in Experience in MSSQL DB administration, HA/DR, troubleshooting and performance tuning is a must.
o Knowledge in Java, Linux CentOS, Nginx / TomCat / Apache, Zabbix, SMTP, SFTP, SSL Cert will be added advantages.
o Knowledge in securities and trading or financial preferred.
