Job ResponsibilityPerform patient vital signs (Blood pressure, Heart rate/pulse, respiration and oxygen saturation), and report immediately any abnormalities to the Staff Nurses
o Document patient vital signs concisely, accurately, and completely using appropriate forms and documentation.
o Assist the Staff Nurses in collecting samples of patient urine, stools and sputum sample for laboratory test
o Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating. .
o Assist the Staff Nurses in bed making and removing dirty linen in the skips to dirty utility
o Monitor and clean medical equipment and devices such as BP monitoring & cuff, saturation machine ready to be used for the next patient
o Ensure proper storage of equipment stored after use, malfunction of equipment or devices are reported timely
o Assist the Staff Nurse to arrange unit supplies, ward needed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and report to the Nurse Manager for any top-up needs
o Responsible coaching for new nurse aides and facilitating their roles and responsibilities
o Ensure ward/day-care environment is clean, tidy and safe
