Job ResponsibilityResponsibilities
o Responsible to execute COMET's compliance strategy.
o Review and define product and component material compliance requirements based on national and international regulations as RoHS, REACH, TSCA and ensure that they are fulfilled.
o Lead and coordinate activities to set up a global process to ensure product material compliance in collaboration with external party.
o Act as a subject matter expert and work closely in a cross-functional team of engineering, supply chain, supplier quality and compliance.
o Establish/ Support process to add material compliance data to component and product master data.
o Point of contact for internal and external customers.
o Identify gaps and non-compliance issues and work closely with engineering and supply chain to close these gaps.
o Process and release declarations and compliance statements.
o Work independently to perform technical tasks as assigned
Requirements
o Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental or material compliance.
o Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or equivalent education; MS preferred
o Alternative technical educational background with relevant experience in the field of material compliance.
o Very Good knowledge of RoHS, REACH, WEEE, TSCA, California Prop 65 regulations and compliance requirements of SCIP as well as Conflict Minerals.
o Good knowledge of ERP system (SAP) .
o Knowledge of data base programming of advantage (e.g., sql)
