Job Responsibilityo Plan, manage and report on investigations into scientific theories and apply existing and
new scientific theories and techniques to the design and development of new products
and services related to palm oil and other crops production with focus on specific areas of
a project.
o Monitor and guide team members as well as other junior members on area or expertise.
o Assist in the preparation of annual budget for project.
o Manage requirements for overall equipment in the laboratory, both long and short term.
Liaise with vendors to ensure PM and regular scheduled maintenance occurs, conduct
basic troubleshooting of key instruments.
o Provide technical inputs and services to customers.
o Analyze research data and contribute in leading role of producing scientific/research
papers, publications & IPs.
o To prepare and conduct presentations internally & externally when required .
o To constantly ensure knowledge in latest research, technology and updates in the main
focus area and related fields are kept abreast with current developments.
o Take lead role or assist in promoting research collaboration with international/ local
industries and research centers.
o Develop, coordinate and implement health and safety plans in the workplace according to
legal guidelines: DOSH, Schedule waste, CHRA, Medical surveillance.
o Enforce safety policies to establish a health and safety culture. Ensure 100% compliance to
legal requirement. Monitor safe work procedures are adhered: SOP, work place inspection.
o Investigate accidents/incidents to discover causes
o Report on safety issues and statistic - SMS-IT, S.I.M.E report.
Requirement:
o BSc or MSc or PhD in Science or related Science discipline.
o Fresh Doctorate (with required critical skills and with strong publication record).
o Master's Degree with min 3 years relevant experience.
o Bachelor's Degree with min 3 years relevant experience or equivalent (with required
critical skills or with strong publication record).
