Job Responsibility
Sumimetal Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. (SMI) was established in 1990 as a joint-venture arrangement between P.P.Steel Group, Nagoya Alumi Centre Co. Ltd. and Sumikin Bussan International. Responsibilities:-
o Involve in planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the operations of Maintenance department.
o Co-operative work-team relations with internal customers such as Production, Quality Assurance & Administrative.
o Manage the daily operations of the maintenance department ensuring compliance, safety, and best practices for corrective and preventative maintenance procedures are followed including accurate completion of the preventative maintenance program.
o Analyse, diagnoses, and recommend correction for equipment problems and breakdowns.
o Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
o Maintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standards.
o Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
o Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
o Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
o Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
o Assigning repair and preventive maintenance schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
o Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
o Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
o Foster innovation culture and improve work flow among subordinates.
o Take full responsibility on maintenance department's 5S, As company's Management representative.
o To undertake any other related jobs directed by the superior/management from time to time.
Requirements:-
o Academy
? Possess minimum diploma, advanced/higher, bachelor's degree in Engineering or professional degree in relevant field.
? Possess certificate of competency chargeman recognized by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
o Experience
? Possess 3-5 years working experience in maintenance management role.
? Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding and whole-facility maintenance.
o Skill
? Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Computer literate.
? Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
? Possess deep knowledge of engineering and mechanical concepts and have strong time management and organizational skills.
? Able to work independently with minimum or no supervision.
? Work effectively and efficiently in highly collaborative team environment.
? Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
? Personality: People oriented, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with colleagues. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Good communication skill, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Willing to participate in company activities/events.
