Responsibilities
o Elaboration of business use cases, validation assumptions, formalization, and prioritization of user stories
o Data profiling, requirements engineering, Source to target mapping preparation, and quality assurance of data
o Creation of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models. Getting approvals from Domain Architects
o Collection and clarification of Data source metadata, and business descriptions of data. Data attribute description
o Confirmation with the business of Data Quality checks and rules for data validation
o Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders
o Develop comprehensive requirement specifications that will determine the estimate of cost, time, and resources to deploy solutions
o Liaise with the service development team to suggest a high-level functional solution
o Ensure that relevant stakeholders are involved in the specification of new services and/or major upgrades to existing services
o Ensure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing & validation. Support validation and testing (OQ, PQ, UAT...)
o Ensure implemented solutions are according to specifications and fit for purpose.
o Keep abreast with internal IT systems and documentation requirements, and standards (including quality management and IT security)
o Keep abreast with industry best practices in leveraging technologies for the business and with regulatory environments/requirements if applicable.
Requirements
o A university degree equivalent to BS / MS level in Computer or Life Sciences
o Experience of 3+ years as a Business Analyst with a strong track record as Business Analyst, including business process reengineering, user requirements gathering and documentation techniques, workshop facilitation techniques, and change management
o Practical experience with Data Analytics and SQL specifically
o Strong Data Modeling skills (creation of Erwin diagrams)
o DWBI knowledge and practical skills
o Excellent verbal, and written & communication skills in English and Japanese
Nice to Have
o 2+ years of experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferably in the commercial IT function
o Experience with Commercial Market Data is a plus (SAP, IQVIA specifically)
o Agile, team coordination
