Job ResponsibilityOne of our brand concept: Restaurant is looking for a Junior Chef to be part of a fast growing team. This is a fine dining restaurant with an elegant setting for fresh, healthy, and uniquely styled food presentations.
Keep in mind that your duties may require working in shifts and/or occasionally during weekends and holidays. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to provide an excellent overall dining experience. Guests should walk away not only with their palate satisfied, but with a pleasant memory of their time with us.
- To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
- To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated colleagues.
- To be responsible for completing your MIS en place.
- To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the department.
- To report any maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that all statutory regulations are observed.
- To liaise with supervisor and implement new menu/dishes/systems where applicable.
- To ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to, such as food hygiene policies.
- To be flexible and willing to help the restaurant kitchen at busy times if required.
Job Requirements- Proven work experience
- Attentiveness and patience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Team spirit
- Extremely high personal hygiene, hair, teeth, fingernails, etc, and attractively dressed or possibly in uniform.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including split shifts
- High school diploma; food safety training is a plus
