Job Description
We are currently looking for a reactive support technician to take care of Point Of Sales, Accounting Software, Payroll Software, and also POS-related fields. This is a highly technical person if you take charge of the POS field, however, if you take charge of the Accounting software field, basic accounting knowledge will add an advantage.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administer the POS systems, install software updates, and perform other POS functions.
Deploys software and hardware.
Provides technical support for POS Help Desk.
Trains users and technical staff in the use of new software.
Works with users and IS staff to develop and modify systems to meet current and future needs.
Supports user maintenance requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree holder preferably in Computer Science, IT-related studies.
At least three (3) years experience in card systems, POS systems.
Analytical in troubleshooting and diagnostic.
Creative and innovative in providing recommendations and technical solutions.
Ability to relate technical solutions to business needs and growth.
Capable of leading discussions and presentations with various non-technical groups such as Sales and Brands.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and drive initiatives.
Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
Ability to provide technical training.
Relate well with all position levels within the organization, and with external suppliers, clients, and contractors.
Competencies :
Knowledge of PHP and MYSQL will be added advantage.
Demonstrate experience and competency with Wintel Servers, PCs, and PC LANS essential.
Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server applications.
Knowledge of LAN and WAN essentials.
Knowledge of configuration, implementation of hardware and software.
Knowledge of operating systems and client-server architecture.
Knowledge of in-house business applications and application development processes.
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning and database.
Knowledge and experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
Understanding and application of personnel security, physical security, network security and systems, and application security.
Knowledge in Payment Card Industry (PCI) and EMV standards and requirements is added advantage.
Ability to apply digital forensic skills.
Knowledge and understanding of enterprise business continuity.
Understanding and appreciation of information security and risk management.
Ability to handle IT and security incidents.
The job requires 30% - 50% travel to visit assigned service stations.
Fluent in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of the local language is also a requirement
