Job ResponsibilityJob Summary:
Primary role is to support operational leaders in making critical business decisions with insightful financial analysis and to centrally manage financials for projects and IT operations from multiple entities.
Below is the summary of the roles:
- Coordinate the preparation of financial planning and forecasting.
- Communicate, interface, and coordinate with Finance, Project Managers, and Steering Committee on financial update and reporting.
- Manage financial administration such as budget consolidation, financial reconciliation / analysis, and reporting.
- Establish and refine internal controls to ensure allocation is within budget.
- Single point of contact for budget / financial related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Forecast:
- Coordinate annual financial planning by managing timeline and working with Cost Centre Owners and respective liaisons to develop, analyse, and assist in annual budget.
- Reconcile actuals and articulate trending and variance to Finance and Leadership team.
- Analyse financial health and variance of forecast for stakeholders' update.
- Support financial oversight to ensure adherence to Finance policies and procedures.
Financial Analysis and Administration:
- Collaborate with Cost Centre owners to collect, synthesize, review, analyse and interprets financial data from multiple sources.
- Track and manage overall budget elements to ensure reconciliation and accurate internal accounting of costs.
- Extract and assimilate data for financial analysis and communicate insight for Leadership decision.
- Maintain budget control and proactively identify trends affecting future financial requirements.
- Establish and manage workflow for approval to pay and centrally update the approved amount.
- Take appropriate actions in case of project financial deviations and resolve it till closure.
- Supports the accrual process and ensures accurate reporting to Finance.
- Support budget related queries.
Reporting and Governance:
- Provide timely update on financial report in accordance with Finance timelines.
- Verify information from multiple sources and prepare integrated financial analysis and reports for Leadership decision making.
- Provide timely dashboard / report on project financial analysis for Leadership team.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other business-related field.
- Minimum 10 years of combined experience working as a IT Finance Analyst.
- Finance accounting candidate with SSC (Shared Service Centre) background or International MNC.
- Experience in handling complex projects/contracts.
- Good analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively alone, as a team member, or as a team leader.
- Highly organized and able to meet schedules established.
- Excellent skill in number crunching and attention to detail.
- Excellent finance management and communication skills.
- Well versed with Excel and project management concepts along with accounting terms.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate externally.
