Conducting tests on equipment performance to ensure it meets specifications set by the manufacturer
Designing, installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting control systems used in industrial settings such as oil refineries or chemical manufacturing plants
Designing new equipment using computer aided drafting (CAD) software or other engineering tools such as computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software or robotics programming language
Creating computer models to simulate the response of systems to various stimuli in order to predict how they will behave under different conditions
Designing and building control panels for industrial machinery such as oil rigs or chemical manufacturing plants
Performing other duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used in industrial settings
