Job ResponsibilityJob Responsible:
o Continuously introduce new ideas and product concepts for new products, quality improvement and productivity.
o Keep abreast of market trends, product concepts, new ingredients, and processes to ensure competitive advantage.
o Responsible for the sensory test, new product presentation, provide technical guidance for product preparation and pilot production arrangement.
o Facilitate and coordinate manufacturing trial run.
o Responsible for R&D Planner and collaborating with the Marketing team for product development and launching.
o Responsible for departmental budget and cost control.
o Implementation, design, and review of R&D Documentation.
o Responsible to ensure the company's rules compliance with food safety policy and other standards established such as HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and etc within R&D scope and needs.
o Responsible for labeling, ingredient list, and regulation compliances for all the products/supply needs.
o Evaluates and makes recommendations concerning the application of new ingredient/processing technologies.
o Provide technical assessments for evaluation of new product/process opportunities.
o To monitor production workers in minor quality problems, hygiene, and cleanliness.
o To request the Certificate of Analysis (COA) / Product Specification for all incoming raw materials and packing materials from suppliers.
o To monitor the pastries' weight inconsistency before and after bake.
o To monitor the pastry's baking temperature and time are follow the standard measurement.
o To inspect the incoming raw materials/packing materials or in-process failures, product recall, issue NCR, and follow up with the remedial measures that have been taken to prevent future happenings.
o To assist in quality and food safety audit program (internal, external, and third party audit).
o To maintain equipment for calibration and update calibration records as required.
o To monitor laboratory test analysis and monthly water test.
o To keep in close contact with regulatory updates in Malaysia related to food and prepare reports to update management on the impact on the organization.
o To carry out research on regulatory requirements for domestic and export countries when required.
o To follow up on all standing customer complaints and customer feedback investigations reports with related departments.
o To send samples for external analysis and perform some microbiological analysis internally.
o To organize all records on QC analysis and retention samples in good conditions.
o To take charge and improve or otherwise on matters the related quality of raw materials, stock control vs gross production output including quality issues/evaluation & test analysis/specifications test / COA.
o Any other task assigned by immediate superior.
Job Requirement:
o At least degree holder in Food Technology, Product Safety, Nutrition, Health, Food Science, Research and Development or equivalent.
o Candidates who are familiar or with working knowledge of ISO22000, FSSC22000, HACCP, HALAL and other food-related Acts.
o At least 2 years of working experience in the FMCG Industry
o Possess experience dealing with confectionery products will be an added advantage.
o Must possess track records of having successfully developed and launched new products.
o Able to work as a team and independently.
o Team player with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
o Good oral and written communication skills
o Interpersonal competencies and presentation skills.
o Computer literate, i.e: MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
o Required language(s): English, Chinese, Malay
