Job ResponsibilityJob Summary:
As a Finance Manager with Smartbite, you will be responsible for reporting business financial health.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be familiar with accounting processes (end-to-end), SME-friendly accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks), and financial analysis (e.g., Variance analysis). Interest and experience in startup technology platforms and systems implementation will be beneficial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the issuance of sales invoices/billing statements to clients and payments to vendors
* Highlight issues in company finances and generate reports for Management
* Oversee, report on, and take action on Accounts Receivables where necessary
* Manage bank reconciliation and prepare of accounting statements (income, cash flow, balance sheet)
* Prepare and execute payroll and other payments
* Preparation of tax returns
* Conduct analysis of company financial performance to support Management decision making, fundraising, etc.
* Record accounts on system efficiently and in a timely manner
* Develop and document necessary accounting processes
* Ensure accurate tech implementation of financials (e.g., invoicing, purchase orders) on Smartbite platforms and make recommendations for improvements
* Work with external auditor to report finances for accurate and timely business reporting
* Exhibit excellent sense of honesty, integrity and accountability
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent; Certification is an advantage but not required
Experience: 2-5 years work experience as an Accountant or similar positions in Finance
Training: MS Excel/ Google Sheet efficiency; Hands-on experience with accounting softwares
Skills: Solid understanding of fundamentals of accounting; High level of precision and attention to detail: Highly organized and possesses strong analytical skills
