Job Responsibilityo Inspect equipment and conduct routine equipment maintenance. Perform regular checks, inspections, repairs (component replacements), oiling, cleaning, overhauling and other tests, making sure that they are safe and perform their function well.
o Plan and schedule repairs.
o Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production.
o Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported.
o Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to superior.
o Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
o Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulation.
o Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
o Assists engineering engineer & manager in forecasting of spare part requirement.
o Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
o Identify spares requirements and log usage.
o Assist engineer & manager in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
o Carry out PM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required.
